Set up your organization
Go from creating an organization to a first source your team can use.
This path is for whoever sets up Persyst for the team. Prepare one useful source and a small group of recipients before inviting the rest of the organization.
Create or join the organization
On first registration, enter your identity, then the name of the organization to create. If you received an invitation, use its link to join the existing organization.
If you belong to several organizations, check which one is selected before changing sources or members.
Choose a first source
Choose a source and a concrete question: read a Redash query’s result, inspect Batch campaign statistics or find a shared document.
In Data sources, click Add a source. The connector guide explains who should prepare credentials and which resources to select.
You can send the guide link to the tool owner. They do not need a Persyst account to read it.
Prepare recipients
In Organization → Teams, create a team if several people need the same access. In Organization → Members, invite people and choose their teams.
Then grant the source, resources and tools in Access management. For connectors that separate selection from assignment, both steps are necessary.
See members, teams and access for details.
Perform the first read
- A recipient adds Persyst to their assistant.
- They authorize the connection for the correct organization.
- They ask which sources they can access.
- They ask a first question on the prepared source and check the cited reference.
Verify this with a member who has received the required grants. Being able to administer a connection does not by itself guarantee every read permission.
Expand gradually
Add other sources, then the relevant teams. Keep connection names explicit, especially when production, testing or several accounts from the same provider coexist.
The catalog can vary by organization and enabled features. The AWS guide, for example, only applies to the pilot enabled by the Persyst team.
