Understand Persyst
Understand organizations, data sources, access grants and your AI assistant.
Persyst brings your team’s sources together and controls who can use them. Members ask questions in their usual assistant: Persyst provides the tools and context they are allowed to access.
Who does what?
| Person | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Tool owner | Prepare the API key, reader account or permissions in that tool |
| Persyst admin | Connect sources and grant their resources and tools to recipients |
| Member | Add Persyst to their assistant and use the access granted to them |
One person can hold several roles. A tool owner can also prepare credentials without a Persyst account: connector guides are public and shareable.
From source to answer
- A source is connected to Persyst, such as a PostgreSQL database or Aircall account.
- Required resources are selected: tables, phone lines, repositories, payroll files or queries, depending on the connector.
- Resources and tools are granted to the relevant members or teams.
- A member’s assistant calls an authorized tool to answer their question.
A successful connection does not mean every member can access all its data.
The website and the assistant
The website is for administering sources and access. Questions, analysis and writing happen in your assistant, connected through MCP, the protocol that lets it call Persyst tools.
Retrieved excerpts are sent to that assistant to produce the answer. Inference therefore depends on the member’s chosen AI provider. Persyst does not automatically collect all private conversations from your assistants.
Choose your path
- Setting up the team: prepare the organization.
- Providing credentials: choose a connector.
- Joining an organization that is ready: connect your assistant, then ask your first question.
