Review this month’s payroll with Silae, from Claude or ChatGPT

Compare two months’ totals, explain a gross pay gap, spot overtime: the Silae payroll review from your AI, payroll file by payroll file, read-only.

Published on October 28, 2026

In short

  • Connect Silae to your assistant through Persyst: it compares two months’ totals, explains a gap and drills down to the payslip involved.
  • The payroll file is the unit of access, then each tool: leadership can see totals without seeing payslip lines.
  • Read-only: nothing is entered, calculated or filed in Silae.

Review October payroll for Company A: gross pay gap with September, and what explains it.

October gross pay is €218,900, against €212,400 in September (+3.1%). The gap comes from three items: a new hire on October 1 (€3,950), 64 overtime hours in the workshop (€1,870) and a one-off bonus on one payslip (€700). No other employee varies by more than 2%. Do you want the detail per employee?

The problem: explain the gap before approving

Before approving a payroll, you compare it with the previous month. When gross pay moves, you need to find out why: hires, departures, overtime, bonuses, absences. In Silae, that means opening the totals, then the payslips one by one.

What the assistant does, step by step

With Persyst’s Silae connector, the request “Review October payroll for Company A” chains:

  1. Pick the payroll file among those opened to the member (list_silae_dossiers).
  2. Read the totals for both months (read_silae_payroll) and compute the gap.
  3. Isolate the employees whose pay varies most, with the list of employees and employments (list_silae_records).
  4. Drill down to the payslip lines involved (read_silae_payroll) to name the cause: hours, bonus, new hire.

If the right is open, the assistant also provides a payslip PDF (download_silae_payslips).

Three questions to try

  • “List October payslips with overtime, and the total hours per team.”
  • “Who joined or left Company A this month?”
  • “What is the current salary of each employment in the workshop team?”

Setup

  1. An administrator connects the company’s or firm’s Silae API access, then declares the payroll files to share (Silae guide).
  2. They open each file to the people concerned, tool by tool: employees, totals, payslip lines, PDFs.
  3. Each member adds Persyst to their assistant (getting started).

Limits to know

  • Read-only: nothing is entered or calculated in Silae.
  • No full-text search: an employee is found by name, a payslip by month.
  • The assistant explains a gap from the data it reads; approving the payroll stays a human decision.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can an accounting firm run this review for each client?

Yes. The firm connects its Silae access, declares the payroll files in Persyst and opens each file to the managers who handle it. It can also open a client’s file to that client, and only that one.

Does leadership see individual payslips?

Only if you open them. Access is set per payroll file then per tool: totals and employment salary for leadership, payslip lines and PDFs for HR.

Can the assistant fix a payroll variable?

No. The Silae connector is read-only: no variable entered, no payslip recalculated, no filing submitted. Corrections happen in Silae.

Does Persyst store payroll data?

No. Persyst reads what the member asks for, passes it to their assistant and records the lookup. Once in the assistant, the content falls under that provider’s terms.
