SILAE
Obtain SILAE API credentials and choose the payroll files and tools to authorize.
The connection requires a Client ID, Client Secret and API subscription key (Subscription Key). Persyst then handles technical authentication; each member does not go through a SILAE consent screen.
Obtain SILAE credentials
This step belongs to whoever manages your SILAE API access, often your payroll firm or payroll administrator. A regular mySilae login is insufficient.
- Confirm that Payroll API access is enabled and the required payroll files are authorized in SILAE.
- Have the access owner retrieve the ClientID, ClientSecret and SubscriptionKey from the SILAE API portal.
- Confirm whether these are production or test credentials and whether SILAE supplied a specific scope.
If you do not administer this access, share this page with its owner. API activation depends on your relationship with SILAE and your permissions on the payroll files.
Connect SILAE in Persyst
- A Persyst admin opens Data sources → Add a source → SILAE.
- Name the connection and enter the three credentials in Client ID, Client Secret and API subscription key.
- Keep SILAE Payroll API — Standard for OAuth scope. Use Custom only if SILAE supplied another value.
- Select Production, or Test with test credentials supplied by SILAE. The Test profile uses the same servers with those test credentials.
- Click Connect and load payroll files, select the required files and save them.
Grant payroll reads
Choose tools for each payroll file: employee and employment lists, salary per employment, payslips, headers, lines or cumulative totals.
To browse payslips, also grant the payroll file, employee, employment and payslip lists on the same payroll file. Only open the files and information needed by the people responsible for this work.
Verify usage
From a recipient’s assistant, start with “List the SILAE payroll files I can access.” Check that a file selected but not granted to that member is absent from their results. Continue with an authorized read on a suitable test file.
