GitLab

Authorize GitLab and choose the organization, repositories and branches to synchronize.

GitLab connects through OAuth authorization. Use an account with access to the group and repositories you want to share.

Connect the account

  1. In Data sources → Add a source, choose GitLab.
  2. Start the connection and authorize Persyst in GitLab.
  3. Back in Persyst, choose the relevant GitLab group or the offered personal namespace. The connection is attached to that GitLab scope.
  4. In Repositories, add the required repositories and choose branches to follow.
  5. In Access management, grant these repositories and tools to recipients.

Several GitLab organizations can be connected separately. Give connections names that distinguish them.

Use synchronized code

Check repository synchronization status before searching. An authorized assistant can then search files, read passages or inspect Git history.

Example: “In this GitLab repository, find the rules applied to this operation and cite the files.”

Maintain authorization

Available repositories depend on the connected GitLab account’s permissions. If that account loses access, synchronization and related reads may stop. Check GitLab permissions before reconnecting the account from Persyst.
